WKB analysis of the linear problem for modified affine Toda field equations

A bstract We study the WKB analysis of solutions to linear problem for a modified affine Toda field equation, which is equivalent higher-order ordinary differential equation (ODE) studied in ODE/IM correspondence. After gauge transformation, we diagonalize flat connection reduce latter set independent first-order equations. explicitly perform this procedure classical Lie algebras with lower ranks. In particular, $$ {D}_r^{(1)} D r 1 - and {D}_{r+1}^{(2)} + 2 -type problems, correspond ODEs pseudo-differential operator. The diagonalized obtained from Riccati equations adjoint related conserved currents integrable hierarchy constructed by Drinfeld Sokolov up total derivatives.
